11/07 Cape May Rips
Today I had the pleasure of hosting the Tidys for a little Rips party. Ken is an outdoor photographer and some big hooha in the Mason-Dixon Outdoors Writers Association. His darling wife Diane is a fine fly casting instructor. I had to put some unfamiliar stout bay tackle in their hands today, but they took to it real nicely.
Ken struck first and put this nice striper in the box early:

Pretty rough out there early and Ken started getting a little green on me. He decided to sit out a few rounds so I got to tangle with this fine specimen:

Tally for the morning; We went four for seven on Striped Bass, boxed one nice Fluke, and one bastadge dogshark. Battle some confused seas that took their toll on the crew, weaved in and out a quite a bit of traffic at times too.
Waves began to smooth out some as the tide slacked and we took advantage of it and ran on home to Lewes while the getting was good.
We all agreed it was a fun day and felt satisfied with our catch under the conditions. Nice fishing with ya Ken and Diane.
